Audits of annual accounts and grants for companies, cooperatives and foundations in the province of Valencia, with knowledge of the Valencian Community’s own legislation.

Cooperatives and foundations in Valencia are governed by the same Valencian laws as those in Alicante, so the framework we apply every day is exactly yours.
Documentation is exchanged by secure electronic means. Visits to your premises are planned in advance for key meetings, cash counts and year-end inventory counts.
Valencia and Alicante are well connected by motorway and rail, which makes it easy to attend physical counts at warehouses, logistics facilities or fruit and vegetable packing centres when the engagement requires it.
At the outset we set the dates for the preparation of the accounts, delivery of the draft and issue of the report, taking into account the specific deadlines of cooperatives, foundations and calls for aid applications.
In addition to national audit legislation (the Spanish Audit Act, Law 22/2015, and its implementing regulation approved by Royal Decree 2/2021), in the province of Valencia we apply the regional rules that determine when an entity must be audited:
Each case must be analysed in the light of the entity's articles of association, figures and specific terms of the call.
Sectors
Port activity and logistics operators in the metropolitan area and in Sagunto raise issues of revenue recognition for services, lease contracts for warehouses and equipment, and inventories held by third parties.
Trading companies and cooperatives in La Ribera, La Safor and other districts: settlements with members and growers, valuation of perishable inventories, seasons that do not coincide with the calendar year and agricultural aid.
Suppliers to the car industry that depend on a small number of customers, contracts with price reviews, tooling and moulds, and investments supported by industrial aid.
Hotels, holiday apartments and restaurants on the Valencian coast: seasonality, customer advances, leases and assessment of impairment of property assets.
Textile companies in the Vall d’Albaida and inland manufacturers: valuation of slow-moving inventories, margins by product line and, where appropriate, viability plans.
Recording of damage, insurance and Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (Spain’s public insurance compensation scheme) payouts, impairment of assets and justification of extraordinary aid, with particular attention to going concern.
We work with organisations in Valencia city and its metropolitan area (Torrent, Paterna, Burjassot, Mislata, Manises and the municipalities of l’Horta Sud), as well as in Sagunto and the Camp de Morvedre, Gandia and La Safor, Alzira and La Ribera, Ontinyent and the Vall d’Albaida, and Xàtiva and La Costera.

Frequently asked questions
No. Our only office is at Avda. Maisonnave, 30, 1.º B, in Alicante. We work with clients throughout Spain: much of the engagement is coordinated remotely and the team travels to Valencia for the meetings, inventory counts and checks that need to be carried out at your premises.
Yes. When inventories are significant, attending the physical count is a necessary procedure and we plan it with you before the year-end. The date, the warehouses to be visited and the counting instructions are agreed in advance.
Yes. Under Article 50.1.b) of Legislative Decree 2/2015, a cooperative with a credit section must be audited regardless of its size. The auditor is appointed by the general assembly (Article 31.1.a).
It could. Law 8/1998 does not only look at assets, income and headcount: other factors also count, such as contracts with trustees or significant disposals of assets. It is advisable to review this with the figures at each year-end.
Yes. As a firm registered with the ROAC, we can issue the review report on the grant expenditure statement using the template required by the call for applications. We recommend getting in touch before the end of the execution period so that any issues can be detected in good time.
The recording of the damage, insurance payouts, impairment of assets and the aid received and its justification will need to be reviewed, and it will also be necessary to assess whether there are doubts about the business’s ability to continue as a going concern. It is advisable to prepare this documentation before the fieldwork.
In capital companies, the general meeting must appoint the auditor before the end of the financial year to be audited (Article 264.1 of the Spanish Companies Act, LSC). In Valencian cooperatives, the appointment is made by the general assembly.
