Safeguards
An audit is only valuable if the person who signs it is independent and works with a verifiable method. These are the safeguards provided by an audit firm registered with Spain’s Official Register of Statutory Auditors (ROAC).
Controlaudit Auditores Certificados, S.L. is registered in the Official Register of Statutory Auditors of the Spanish Institute of Accounting and Auditing (ICAC), the national audit oversight authority, under number S1604. You can check this using the ICAC search tool.
Like every audit firm, we are subject to public oversight by the ICAC, which ensures compliance with audit legislation and technical standards.
Before accepting any work, we analyse the grounds for incompatibility and the threats to independence governed by the Spanish Audit Act (Law 22/2015). If there is a conflict, we do not accept the engagement.
All the information you provide to us is protected by the auditor’s duty of professional secrecy (Article 31 of the Spanish Audit Act, Law 22/2015 of 20 July) and by data protection legislation.
We work with an internal system of quality management, review of working papers by the partners and mandatory continuing professional education for our auditors.
The partners are directly involved in planning, in the risk areas and in the final review of every report.

PhD in Business Administration and Management. Degree in Economics and Business Studies. Degree in Law. Statutory auditor. Master’s degrees in Economic and Financial Management and in Insolvency. More than 30 years’ experience in national and international projects in audit, consultancy and finance. He has carried out numerous financial and operational restructuring projects for companies, as well as valuations, due diligence, IPO projects, financial projections and market research.
Degree in Economics and Business Studies. Statutory auditor. Master’s degree in Construction, Building and Urban Planning Project Management. Master’s degree in Accounting and Management of Public Sector Entities. Economist specialising in sustainability reporting. More than 30 years’ experience in national and international projects in audit, consultancy and finance. He has carried out numerous due diligence projects, national and international corporate transactions and even stock market flotations.
Manager and team leader on private sector audit engagements. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Master’s degree in Statutory Audit from the ICJCE (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Spain). Eight years’ experience in audit and in accounting and financial advisory work, and in research promotion programmes.
